Iwan de Vries (General Director of FULLHOUSE) has just received the Re-Use Award at the PROVADA. Hillehof was chosen by a professional jury as the best transformation project of 2024.

In the presence of Mattijs Rommelse and Debbie Ginter from the Municipality of Rotterdam, there was high praise from PropertyNL for the transformation of the monumental school complex, which was given a new life with 73 sustainable homes around a green courtyard, exactly 100 years after it was built in 1923.

The former school complex has been transformed primarily into mid-range and high-end housing. In the surrounding Vreewijk neighborhood, the housing stock mainly consists of social housing. With Hillehof, we aim to complement the existing stock, increase diversity, and at the same time create opportunities for upwardly mobile residents who wish to continue their housing journey within their own neighborhood. Creating space for upward mobility is one of the key goals of the National Program Rotterdam South (NPRZ).

Strengthening Rotterdam South requires offering residents who wish to move on from social housing the opportunity to remain in their own neighborhood. With Hillehof, we hope to contribute to this mission.
