Mixed-use development in M4H Rotterdam
- Rotterdam
On the corner of Vierhavensstraat and van Helmontstraat we have started developing a beautiful project in the Marconikwartier of the Merwe-Vierhavens of Rotterdam. The Municipality of Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam, together with partners, will develop M4H into a living-working environment for the innovative manufacturing industry and with a mix of working, living, culture, catering, sports and education.
The spatial framework M4H describes the Marconikwartier, the location of Nami, as the area with the most urban mix of living, working and facilities and with the highest densities. The location is within walking distance of Marconiplein metro station. Due to the combination of high densities, a large functional mix of living and facilities and proximity to public transport, mainly urban households will soon find a place here. People who like to live in a dynamic urban environment with all kinds of facilities and well-designed public space around the corner. Mainly stacked houses above a plinth with facilities, positioned with optimal views of the ports. Residents here have a smaller apartment with collective facilities where they can meet other residents and visitors. This target group ranges in age from 23 to 65+.
Sustainable construction in Rotterdam
Since May 17 2024, Nami has been associated with the sustainable development plan in Rotterdam. We have the ambition to achieve the ‘Paris proof objective’ with the city of Rotterdam. An important goal that comes with this is for the city to reduce half of our CO2 emissions by 2030. Nami wants to be a frontrunner in her sustainability ambitions to contribute to Rotterdam’s Paris-proof ambitions.
