A new vibrant space

After more than 10 years of vacancy, life has returned to the former RTV Rijnmond complex at the intersection of Nieuwe Binnenweg and Mathenesserlaan in Rotterdam.

The entire complex has been developed by Fullhouse. Optimal use has been made of space and the reuse of materials. The mixed-use interpretation provides space for living, working and gastronomy. Transforming within 1 year, Fullhouse has given new life to the buildings. The transformation was carried out under our own direction. This made it possible to adjust the work, so that the best result was achieved.

Housing

The housing program has a wide variety:

Hidden Lofts: Two unique lofts (220m2 and 330m2 GO) spread over 3 and 4 layers hidden behind Mathenesserlaan. Private parking space in the front garden and spacious roof terrace. These lofts were created in the former recording studio of RTV Rijnmond and originally built as a canteen for the Unilever staff when they were located on Rochussenstraat. The houses are unique in design and layout. In addition, it was decided to build for the future and very energy efficient.

Villa West: A one-of-a-kind home (600+ m2 GO) has been realized in the former gym. Spread over two layers, this enormous villa is equipped with all luxury conveniences and sustainability applications.

Victoria Lofts: Two original city villas on the Nieuwe Binnenweg. The transformation from office function to residential destination included the construction of a new rear facade, the roof and a total renovation of the interior. The 8 full serviced rental homes are accessible from the new modern glass staircase between the two classic buildings. The houses vary from approx. 50 m2 to approx. 100 m2 GO and have a (communal) outdoor space.

Office space and hospitality

The office space and restaurant contribute to the liveliness of this Rotterdam Center location:

Victoria WorkSpace: In addition to the co-workspace and flexible workspace (110m2 VVO), Fullhouse has its office (140m2 VVO) at this location. Immediately above the Wester Pavilion, located in the monumental building, the characteristic concrete roof has been restored with great care.

FoodBar: In the former entrance and transformer house, the popular restaurant Westpaviljoen has been expanded with a new food concept (90m2 VVO). The facade of the monumental building in which the Westerpaviljoen is located has been continued while retaining the characteristic window frames and facade lines.
